This is a magnification of the Rope border stencil. As you can see
there are no actual cuts in the stencils only open and closed areas of
mesh fabric. The greenish-blue color is a dried, yet very pliable
plastic coating applied over the nylon mesh material. It is waterproof
and virtually indestructible. These stencils are transferred by forcing
the marking powder through the tiny mesh openings. The Full Line
Stencils and Quilt Pounce Pad truly are made for each other. A pencil
will not transfer a Full Line Stencil, however a Quilt Pounce Pad will
transfer Full Line Stencils as well as any other stencil you may already
own.

See the picture, see the difference between a
Full Line Stencil and the old fashioned stencil (click on picture for a closer
look!)

What a difference, the lines
are not only uninterrupted but they are so much brighter and sharper. The reason
is because the Quilt Pounce Pad which is applying the chalk is actually coming
in contact with the fabric instead of the chalk being dropped loosely on top it
is gently rubbed right into the fibers. This means much more visible lines,
giving you the perfect results you crave in your quilts.
Caring for Full Line Stencils:
Full Line Stencils require
very little care. They are tough and can be transferred countless times. If
they begin to get a little dusty from the chalk ou can use a damp cloth to
clean them up. Water will not harm them. If you are using the Ultimate Pounce
Powder you can actually even iron them to clean them up! Be sure to clean them
if switching colors of chalk You don´t want to heat set the blue when you are
ironing off the white!
Storing Full Line
Stencils:
One of the best ways to store
them is a notebook. You can either punch the holes right through them or slip
them into inexpensive sheet protectors This keeps them lying flat so you will
avoid creasing them. Plus, it is so easy to just flip through a notebook to find
the perfect stencil you need for your project! For the larger stencils you may
wish to roll them up. They don´t have much of a memory so rolling them works
well.
